🧴 1. Gentle Cleansing

Wash your face twice daily with a mild, non-comedogenic cleanser. Avoid harsh scrubbing — it can irritate the skin and make blackheads worse. Look for ingredients like: Salicylic acid (BHA) – helps unclog pores and exfoliate inside them. Benzoyl peroxide – kills acne-causing bacteria.

🧼 2. Exfoliation (2–3 times/week)

Use chemical exfoliants rather than physical scrubs. Recommended ingredients: Salicylic acid – best for oily/acne-prone skin. Glycolic acid or lactic acid (AHAs) – helps remove dead skin from the surface.

🛑 Avoid over-exfoliating — it can dry and irritate the skin.

🧖‍♀️ 3. Steam Treatment (Optional)

Steaming opens up pores slightly, making it easier to remove blackheads. How: Heat water until steaming. Lean over the bowl with a towel over your head for 5–10 minutes. Gently pat dry, then apply a clay mask or extractor tool (optional).

🧲 4. Clay Masks or Charcoal Masks

Clay absorbs excess oil and helps pull impurities from pores. Use once or twice a week — avoid daily use.

🧰 5. Blackhead Extractor Tools (Use Carefully!)

Only use on clean, steamed skin. Gently press around the blackhead (never force it). Always disinfect the tool before and after use.

👉 If unsure, it’s safer to have a dermatologist or esthetician do extractions.

💧 6. Moisturize

Use a light, oil-free moisturizer to maintain your skin barrier. Even oily skin needs hydration to prevent excess oil production.
